An abstract painting with green, black, beige, red, and yellow circular and rectangular shapes and brush strokes.

ABOUT ME:

My name is Elijah McNeeley. I currently reside and work in Boise, Idaho. When I was just two weeks old I was adopted by the most wonderful people. Their decision to choose, love, and support me has had a lasting impact. It has taught me to have more gratitude, to understand emotional greyscale, to be flexible, and to have faith that I am capable of solving my own problems.

Art gives me the platform to solve complicated problems and express complex emotions. My abstract work is where I can create the problems that I am solving compared to my more representational work where the problem lies in transferring ideas on to the canvas.

Photography is how I see the world and painting is how I show the world what I see.

I know when a painting is done only when there are no more questions and only answers.

Inspired, not Inspirational,

Elijah McNeeley
